Have you ever taken a friendship so for granted that you steal from your "friend" who defended you when you needed it and went out of their way to do a lot of free work for them whenever they asked? What kind of friend would do that?
For instance: What kind of friend would ask for a work of art, take that work of art and post it on their website without permission and before the artist has a chance to put their mark on it, gives credit when asked to do so but then removes that credit after a few weeks when they think the artist is no longer paying attention? And then when said art thief is busted, claims that those who take notice are wrong because the strange new person being given credit totally redid the image?
What if the original artist left tell-tale markers that make it completely obvious that it IS the original and the new fake artist only cropped/cut/pasted an addition?
Everyone here knows about my Captain America as Adam picture, and everyone who understood why I made it knows it was mine - my inspiration and my design. Now, a person I always cherished as a friend has decided to remove the credit to me that was promised since he used the image on his site before I could get him a watermarked version and is claiming he didn't like the Nick Fury version of God so he got someone else to re-do the whole thing.
Bullshit! Every graphic artist leaves some kind of marker that no one else even knows is there. Sometimes it's deliberate but most are due to the distinct way the image was created and can never be duplicated. My version of that image has so many distinct characteristics that it can't be denied as being mine.
What hurts the most is this person was a good friend. I've come to his defense so many times when he was being harassed and threatened by a pedophile gamer for exposing his dark side to the gaming community. I've made so many more graphics for this person, too, and now I'm wondering if he's going to have his friend remove my watermark and steal those, as well.
I just cannot understand the human race and its addiction to hurting each other, especially those who put their trust in so-called friends.
