I am not trying to disrespect the dead, but I don't give two shits about Whitney Houston. If she was some sort of hero or humanitarian, risked her life on a daily basis for world peace, used her career to speak out for the abused, etc..., then I would be sad. I'm just tired of celebrity hero worship. Where are all the status headlines whenever a military person dies? Where are the thousands of mortified and tearful posts when a police officer loses his life in the line of duty? Sorry but I just don't give a furry rat's ass about celebrities. If it was one I really liked, I'd be shocked and sad, but I wouldn't expect the world to stop over it. I'm more affected when heroes, real ones, are killed doing something noble for the good of mankind.
